New Work: Packaging for Ovenly

The amazing ladies of Ovenly approached us a few months ago about designing their packaging for the amazing savory snacks they make.  Check out some of the results below.  We’re also in the process of redesigning their website and working on a few other exciting projects with them. Stay tuned.  Also, seek out and buy their chocolate ginger cookies as well as their egg nog cookies.  They’ll blow your mind.

New Work: The Magnetic Fields “Love at the Bottom of the Sea”

We’re so excited to reveal the cover we designed for the upcoming Magnetic Fields release Love at the Bottom of the Sea! Wait until you see the interior! LatBotS will be released via Merge Records on March 6, 2012.  The release will be followed by a North American tour which we’ll, once again, be designing and selling merch for. So, get your tickets to one of the shows (dates below), come by the merch booth, and say hi.  We accept baked goods, alcohol, and hugs.  Be sure to pre-order the record over at Merge.  We’ve had it on repeat in the studio for the last few weeks. Trust us when we say it’s amazing.  The first 100 orders get a M+E-designed poster and button.  Finally, the first 500 copies of the LP are on eggshell-colored vinyl.  The limited vinyl will only be available at the Merge Store and on tour.  Get one before they’re gone.

New Work: Smith Street’s Newest Hot Spot, Smith Canteen

The next time you find yourself on Smith Street, do yourself a favor and hurry into Smith Canteen, the new breakfast, lunch, and snack spot by the fabulous duo behind the neighboring Seersucker. We were delighted to design their logo and signage, especially because it means we have more of an excuse to visit and eat their baked goods.

New Work: Tropical Texas Wedding

Sometimes our very dear friends get married, and it is our total pleasure to design their wedding invitations. We cooked up these pink-and-green cards for Sophie and Eric, two vibrant writers who like the outside world as well as the ones they invent. The wedding itself was full of guacamole and good cheer, just as all things should be.

This invitation, for a fun-loving pair we know, was extra exciting because we got to hand-letter the type AND play with watercolors. Alex and Ian wanted a monogram, and by gosh, we wanted to give them one! This was a true M + E collaboration.
